This is not really new and is widespread in the Muslim world. Apparently Saudi Arabia is also a veritable hotbed of man-love.

Actually, there have been many documented instances of various societies not knowing that sex was for procreation. I've never heard of such a large or advanced society being so clueless however.

This article is good information for people who wonder how homosexuality can be natural because it should have died out if it was. This article shows that homosexuals in the past didn't realize that they were homosexuals and also they still procreated anyway since marriage was mandatory.

No. What you are attracted to dictates that. If someone is attracted to men and women equally then they are Bi. If only attracted to one then they are Hetro or Homo. However, a homo can do it "once or twice" just for the sake of procreation and not be attracted to the partner to do so.

I know there are still primitive societies that don't understand that sex causes babies, but they still have sex, presumably correctly. This lady was saying that her country needed sex ed classes because its men didn't know how to, um, go in through the front door. That I think is unique.

Having lived in the Middle East for some time, I can personally attest to the size of some Arab families and assure you that there are no issues with "going in the front door."

This has less to do with procreating, and more to do with sparing the O-rings of Sa'udi women without having them refuse their husbands, which could lead to physical harm and/or ostracizing. If men are taught this then it is also a safer route given the cultural/religious designation of women there (i.e., not to be teaching or demanding things of their husbands).

So no, I disagree about the uniqueness here. There are tribes in Asia and South America that get even weirder than this.
