Which company would be good to get a laptop from ~1200k and used for school and movies/music and maybe gaming...

I know about the Hardware forums and what not, but I want the opinion of the people of ATOT.

He is asking for a brand name.....

i would try an HP or Sony Viao, Toshiba is the devil, and Dell's low/mid range laptops are very heavy.

You mean the 9200 right? I'd say that's a pretty good option right there. However, you might be able to get the 9300 for a little over $1200. There are good deals on that pretty often. Right now I believe there's an $800 off coupon for Inspiron purchases $1999 and up. Oh yea, and this is with the 256mb 6800go card. I've got a 9300 and it's great.
