laptops with 6gb

A lot of laptops have 6GB of memory nowadays. What is the memory configuration on these devices? Do they actually have 2x3GB dimms?

haven't heard of 3gb modules yet, it has to be 2+4

Dimms will always come in power of two sizes. So yes, they ship with 2GB+4GB
