laptop wireless question

this is probably a stupid question but i really dont' know anything about laptops. do they sell internal wireless ethernet cards for laptops (so i don't have to take up a slot on the laptop). i'm thinking of getting a laptop but this is one of the things that are keeping me from buying one because most jsut come with a 'b' card...

hmm almost all laptops now come with internal wireless card...

yea, they mostly all do, but they aren't a/b/g they are mostly just b cards.

Usually you can have the manuf. upgrade it to a g.

Like inverse said you could have the manufacturer upgrade it. Or if you have an open miniPCI slot (like a lot of laptops have) there are wireless cards available in that format.

My Dell has 802.11G built in... works great! 🙂
