This is a Toshiba Satellite M35X-S311 laptop with an intel wireless A/G chip. My friend got a bunch of malware/spyware/trojans. She gave me the laptop to clean and i have and am able to get online using ethernet but the wireless adapter does not seem to work. I assumed it was the typical winsock error when you remove malware but that doesn't seem to be the case. No wireless networks can be seen and when i open Toshibas own ConfigFree it says possible reason is the wireless switch is set to off however the switch is set to ON with an orange light on. Also there is the wireless symbol on the F8 but when i press Fn + F8 nothing happens.
any ideas?!
