The connect speed of my wifes laptop compared to mine is slow. I have the newest firmware and drivers. Is it possible to swap the card for a better one? Her laptop is a toshiba m55-s3293 running win xp with newest updates. To be honest its not slow, just not as good as my acer laptop. I am using a linksys router with dd-wrt firmware.

You've gotta provide a lot more info than you did, such as what type of wifi card are in your laptop and your wife's laptop? Make, Model? Integrated or PC Card? Different rooms of the house or right next to each other.
