Laptop, winxp and tweaking

I use my laptop for web browsing, icq, and a few games (while in class of course)
i use word/powerpoint at times, but not too often.

it is a p3-500 with 256mb ram (compaq armada e500)

I am just wondering what are some good tweaking tips to make it as lean and as fast as possible?

I don't know exactly WHAT tweaks you want to do, but here's a great website with a bunch, and explained really well.
