I have a Dell 9100 with a 256meg 9800 and have a couple quick questions.

1st- Is it possible to pop the 9800 out and replace it with a go6800 (or ATIs new mobile chip)
2nd- Where on earth could I find one of those cards as a standalone (other than ebay mabye lol)

You sure bout that? So far, thats the only response I have gotten that says no. All th other responses I have recieved (on other boards obviously since yours is da only one here) have said that like the XPS, the 9100 can take an upgraded vid card.

Yes the video card is upgradeable. However, Dell hasn't given any indication that they will make anything beyond the 9800 for it, so you'll be stuck.

Now thats more like what I am hearin...it can be done but the go6800 is a PCIex card and therefore not compatible.
