Seems it's been a while since the latest tech came out. Good time to wait? What's the next generation and when? Hating windows 8 as well tbh. Thanks!

Realistically, you're looking at early-to-mid 2015. That's when Intel hopes to release Broadwell-based chips in earnest. Core M is neat, but it's not fast; it's designed more for tablets and convertibles than laptops.

You'll be stuck with Windows 8 for a while in traditional PC land, so you'll likely have to get a Mac (which is certainly fine) if you're not willing to wait for Windows 10.
