Laptop suggestions

I'm deciding between the Fujitsu T series, the Dell Inspiron 1410, Toshiba Satellite A205. But I'm open to suggestions. My sister just got a Lenovo and likes it. I'd like something that is relatively light to carry, so I could lug it to a Starbucks or the library pretty easily. I haven't had such great experiences with Dell in the past, but everyone I know seems to have either that or a Mac. Please help.

The Fujitsu is probably the best of the bunch, but it's still about 4.4lbs. Light enough to carry around, but i personally would go for something under 3lbs if you'll be carrying it a lot (and using it in a lot of odd places like planes, in bed, etc).

The Dell would be good if you get Complete Care warranty. That covers everything, including total destruction of the laptop.

Macbooks are good too at about 4lbs, and cheap. Quality is decent, but warranty is pretty crappy.

If i had the money, i would probably go for a Sony Vaio TX series.

The Macbooks are heavier than 4lbs... maybe 5.5? I have personally been really impressed with the quality, and the best way to get the most out of the warranty is to take it to an Apple Store. The service is generally much better.

Of the 3 the Fujitsu is the best choice.

Consider the weight:
Dell -> Weight: Starting at 5.39 lbs (2.45kg)
Toshiba -> 6.2 lbs
Fujitsu -> 1.98kg ~ 4.4 lbs

Dell is nice and affordable, and their tech support is a hit or miss proposition.
Toshiba I've heard nothing but horror stories about and have seen first hand shady behavior.
Lenovo, I've had a poor experience with. It took me 70 minutes on the phone to cancel an order. Ridiciulous

I've had nothing but good experience with Fujitsu.

The selection of laptops you're looking at is very limited.

E1420 is very pedestrian, as is the Toshiba. Between those two, you're really just shopping for the customer care and price aspect as most of the features are comparable since they are almost in the class of Desktop Replacement.

The Fujitsu is more mobile and being a convertible you should cross shop that between comparable convertibles from HP,Toshiba, and the like.

If you want something thin and light it is going to come at the expense of screen real estate and price. Similiarly big and heavy is going to be less expensive.
