I have an HP dv2000t I got from HP in October, 2006. Starting a month ago, whenever the laptop was off (either shut down or in hibernate), it wouldn't turn back on until after 10-20 attempts (force shut down, then try again). The backlight of the LCD would turn on, so would all the lights for the "entertainment" buttons (play, pause, volume, etc.). The optical drive would make a noise, and sometimes the CPU fan would spin up then spin down.
I sent it to HP. They said they replaced the System Board and a part in the screen (i had a few dead pixels) and reformatted the hard drive. It worked perfectly for a week.
Problem is back, WORSE than before. It doesn't even turn on, no matter how many times I force turn it off and turn it back on again.
Any ideas?
ANY HELP IS TRULY APPRPECIATED!!
