laptop sodimms

Anyone tried upgrading their RAM on an HP DV6000 laptop? It has 1GB DDR2-667 by default.

I've read that 2 x 2GB is supported but I'm wondering if anyone here has any personal experience with this particular model and 4GB RAM. I know it will be dependent upon the OS detecting the full 4GB but should it otherwise be fine?

Probably about as simple as unscrewing the bottom memory panel, taking out the SO-DIMMs, inserting new SO-DIMMs; done. 🙂

if the system has two DIMMs, one of them will be under the keyboard and the other will be under the mainboard. only one of these DIMMs will be accessible via an underside panel.
