Laptop recommendations

Hey All,

I know this is a horribly vague request, but what are some of your recommendations for a new laptop?

It seems almost every site I go to has a different #1, but is there a sort of consensus good buy out there right now?

Thanks for any help.

Even though IBM's are fairly expensive, they are perhaps the most reliable laptops in the world.
Some businesses are still running P3 laptops with Win2K and they perform significantly well compared to new Dell laptops.

If you want gaming, go with a Sager notebook. However, if it's mandatory work, go with IBM. Dell isn't bad, but if you get their lower priced models, you're in for some head aches.

Oh yeah, if you're not an enthusiast, don't get Alienware or any of that pricey stuff, because it's really not worth it, personally.

If IBMs are the most reliable, I would hate to see the least reliable.

I think where IBM really shines is their support, they have "fixed" my sister and my roommates laptops quickly.
