Laptop recommendations?

IBM has some sweet subnotebooks in the 4 LB range with (I think) 12.1" displays. Go to www.ibm.com and there may be a review or two on the main AT website.

search "laptop" in this forum for brand-quality opinions. My personal ranking of quality is
1. IBM
2. Toshiba
3. Dell
4. everyone else
. . . though Toshiba often beats IBM on price and use of cutting-edge graphics chips from nVidia and ATI.
 
Check out some centrino notebooks, those are generally overall small, not all but a lot are very small. Alienware has some killer laptops, so does VoodooPC.
