I got a used lappy(thinkpad) at a salvage meet and theres a bootup password I need to get by. Anyway chance Big Blue would help you with this or perhaps maybe contact the original owner for you?
 
Ahhhhhhh man, I hope it isnt a toshiba...if it is youre gonna need a backdoor tool, it plugs into the parallel port and turns off the password. Other than that, try doing a search for AMI bios and Award Bios backdoor password lists.
