Laptop problems

My 7 year old Gateway Solo 5300 has suddenly developed problems on a hot humid day. When I first turn on the computer it will beep continuously about 100 times and it will take a much longer time to get to the windows startup screen. Once I get into windows only a few keys on the keyboard work. I did a system restore but I still have the same problems.
 
I think that you have hardware problems. It might not be wise to fix it, considering its age. If I were you, I would be looking for a new laptop. However, since you did mention "a hot humid day", did you take the laptop from a cool place(house) to a warmer place(outside) and using it? If so, you might have water condensation on the inside of the laptop. Try leaving the laptop at the warmer place for about 30 minutes before turning it on.
