I need help with my laptop... It seems to be doing some wierd things.

I can be using it just fine and about 30 minutes - 1 hour after I start using it, it seems like my laptop shuts down.

My screen will turn green, purple, and sometimes pink. My wireless NIC the lights shut off, my hard drive light goes out, and it sounds like my fan and cd drive just stop. The only thing that is on is my screen (in one of those colors) and my power light.

In order to use my laptop again I have to turn it off and back on, only to have it do the same thing again after a while.

I know it's not a driver / power profile problem in windows, because it does the same thing when I had liinux on it.

Any clues?

hmm I dunno, and it doesn't have a date on it. But I would guess about 1 1/2 - 2 years old

It's a Toshiba Sattelite Pro 6000
p3 1gig
368mb RAM
30 gig hd
and a DVD drive

Sounds like something wrong with the PSU. I don't know if Toshiba has a utility to check voltages with software - perhaps check their site?
