I have a 60 watt (19v X 3.19amps) original power supply and a second power supply I grabbed from someone's dead notebook. It is 75watts (19 V 3.95amps). My question is this: will the more powerfull supply kill my laptop, my battery, or me? If this was a normal PC, I wouldn't worry about a more powerful power supply, but I don't know how notebooks/batteries draw power.

Provided the connector used is physically compatible (and has the same polarity), it will work fine. Just like a desktop PC, the laptop will simply be drawing less current than the supply is capable of delivering.

As the above said, make sure the plug is the same size AND the polarity of the plug is the same.. you could be in bit sh*t otherwise..
