Is there anyway to replace the power plug on a Dell Laptop? I have 3 laptops that will only charge if the cord is held in a certain way, or pulled on etc...
I've read basically that you are f'd and have to get a new motherboard... but I'm just wondering if there is any other way.
Boss just dropped off a XPS m170 to get the data off the hard drive because the thing won't boot. It won't boot because it wont charge, but the green light is charging right now with the cord tensioned a bit....
I'm sure this thing has a beautiful screen and if I can fix it its mine instead of going into the junk pile of 50 other laptops with probably the same issue...
