Before paying $300 for OfficeXP, go download OpenOffice.org and it's free.
It opens word, excel, powerpoint files. I am sure it is sufficient for all your
essay, research paper, lab report.. etc.

If not, like some one mentioned, wait until you register for college. If your college has sold
its soul to Microsoft, you will be able to buy OfficeXP from your college bookstore for like $5

I own a PCG-F370...running XP Pro.
Sweet set-up.

how much better is SXGA+ compared to XGA? is it just a higher resolution or does it do more?

well the brightness viewing angle is only different for the ultrasharp which is only through dell and too much money anyway :p

RossMAN, its not so much that im indecisive... i just want to get a good deal (mostly b/c the software is gonna be expensive as hell by itself...) and i dont want to be stuck with a POS that crashes every 5 mins...
