Hey all,
I just got my new T42 recently, and I was wondering how you guys throttled the CPU on battery power. I've been using IBM's program so far...but I've seen some people post about speedswitchXP also being good. What are the pros/cons of each?
Also...if you're using the IBM thing, do you have your CPU speed set to adaptive, slow, or very slow?
Thanks everyone,
-Eric
Edit: Also...does letting adaptive throttle the CPU up/down use up much power? B/c in slow or adaptive, my cpu spends most of it's time at 600mhz on battery life. Though it is nice to have it jump upwards a bit when I need it...but if that uses significantly more power than locking it at 600mhz, I think I'll just use slow...
