Laptop - Now or Xmas?

My wife wants me to buy her a laptop for Christmas. My Budget is less than $1,500.

Should I pickup a deal now eg. the Dell Inspiron 2650se or wait.

Do you guys think prices will drop for Christmas.

first rule of computing is never buy a computer until just before you need it. since dell rotates deals you should probably wait a month and a half or so, to give yourself plenty of time to get a good deal. and the lead time for the building and shipping.

For $1500 you can get a nicer Dell 4150...
