Laptop no longer connects to internet after Windows Update.

Did a windows update and my laptop no longer connects to the internet/network. It's s dell and it has a linksys wirelss pcmcia card w/speedbooster.
Rebooted, etc. and still can't get it to connect. i do have a passphrase under WEP and I entered it. Just get a Cannot associate with Access Point error on main linksys page.
Do I just need to hook it up via cat5 to the router and see what that does?

Yeah you can try to connect it directly with CAT5 that will allow you to isolate what is not working.

XPSP2 has a major upgrade to the Wireless part of WinXP; my guess is that you have to reconfigure the Wireless.

I will give it a shot tomorrow. Alos, not sure if it matters, but this machine has win2000.

I finally got a chance to connect it to the router via cat5 and it works fine. The wireless activity shows 0% signla strnegth even when I am right next to it. But when I go to Site Survey it lists 100% strength????? Agai, I have typed in my passphrase correctly but it still says it can't communicate with the AP.
Any other ideaas?

still having this problem. how do I uninstall something I updated via windows update?
