My friend has a Dell Inspiron 3800 . When you turn the power on the screen does nothing . I hooked up an external monitor to it and it displays fine . Do you think the LCD will have to be replaced or is possibly an easier fix ? Thanks

nope , completely dead . I think he must have dropped the laptop or something . It will not even recognize the floppy drive or DVD drive . It is about 3 years old and looks like it has been handled pretty rough . I am not going to mess with anymore . Thanks for the reply 😉

Maybe the cable is faulty due to wear and tear or the backlight died, send it to me and I'll LYK 😀
