Laptop keyboard problem..

The laptop keyboard is messed up. Everytime I press some letter keys, they show up as another letter or number. Like if I press 'k' it shows up at '8' or when I press 'm' the another letter comes up. I've checked for virus, but none came up.

Right now im typing on another keyboard, and when its plugged it, my laptop keyboard works fine.

How do I fix this?
 
any chance someone remapped the keys? I know there is a program to do that. Also I know as a gag I have switched keys on a keyboard before, physically switched them. But you say the Laptop keyboard works fine when an external keyboard is plugged in.

What laptop do you have?
