Laptop Keyboard Problem

For some reason, my k and i register as k + Ctrl - Z and i + Ctrl -Z. Would a new keyboard fix this problem? Or does someone know what is wrong?

If I press "k" softly, it appears fine. If I press it harder, then the above situation occurs.
 
I'm not sure why the firmness of the keypress would change the character input. Make sure you don't have any accessibility options or keyboard shortcuts activated before you order a new keyboard for the laptop. If you do have to get a new keyboard, search eBay first before you call the manufacturer. Most laptop manufacturers charge anywhere between $40 to $100 for an FRU keyboard.
