laptop keyboard beeps!

how do i get this keyboard to stop beeping? it beeps with every key you press. it's my boss' laptop at work and he doesn't know how it started doing it. please help
 
Does an external kybd do that? Generally you get beeps when the kybd buffer is full. Does the kybd respond? I would check for stuck keys (or ask if anything was spilled, of course you rarely get a straight answer).
 
It is common with Dell notebooks, in the BIOS there is an option to enable keyboard clicks whenever you press a key.

Other notebooks have this as well but I've seen it mostly on Dells, what type of notebook is it out of curiosity?
