Sorry if this is in the wrong area. I am new to the site, 2nd post, and have a question about laptops. I am about to purchase one off this site and need a little help. I am looking for a nice unit that allows me to watch DVD, burn CD's and move around the internet. I want something I can keep for a longtime under or around $700.
Most of the units I find either don't have a CDRW or DVD drive, not a big deal if I know what I can add. My question is in regards to USB 1.1 and 2.0 and external drives. WTF? Someone advise me on what's the thing to get so I can do what I need it to. I'm not big on gamming, but that might change sometime soon.
I am looking at these, but would LOVE some advice!
