Laptop HDD Issue

I have a Fujitsu laptop im looking at for a client and i'm having some issues figuring out why i cannot reload windows on it. I go through the setup and as soon as you press enter to do it, it says it doesn't detect the hard drive. I've hooked it up to my computer here at home via SATA and it formatted fine and i put stuff on it and accessed it. So im thinking there's something more than just the HDD 😕?

Any ideas? Im not taking the laptop apart as i'll probably screw something up.

No idea if the Fujitsu's are any different from IBM's Thinkpads, but if it's a SATA hard drive, see if there's an option in your BIOS to set the SATA mode from AHCI to some sort of compatibility mode. Someone else recently had the exact same issue on a Thinkpad, and this fixed it.
