I have a Toshiba Satellite 1625cdt, it has AMD K6-2 475mhz cpu, 64meg ram.

whenever I install windows or start up windows with AC power adapter (no matter charging battery or just be there) the laptop will freeze, or general errors. However, when I pull out the AC adapter and run on battery only, it will run normal an no lock up and errors.. I wonder why does it happen..

Upgrade the BIOS to the latest version, it solves thermal issues. Also make sure blow out both fans on the laptop to make sure they are spinning correctly.
