Purpose:
Watching videos, movies, you tube, browsing the internet, MS office work. Listening to music.

Here are the requirements:
RAM minimum 4GB
Should not get overheated.
Screen should be minimum 14" inch
Better to have a DVD RW;
Good battery Life
Intended to use for many years.
Max budget is 22k.
Do Not want any OS as I can install the OS by myself ( Windows 7 64 Bit or Windows 8.1 64bit)

I will be purchasing this India.

I have seen this model of ASUS and it seems to fit the requirements.
I request your input on deciding which is best model:
the processor seems to be very different in these models..whether to go for AMD or Intel for getting the above mentioned purpose and requirements?

Asus X552EA-SX006D Laptop (AMD APU Quad Core A4-5000 Processor- 4GB RAM- 500GB HDD- 15.6 Inches Screen- DOS- 512MB AMD Radeon HD 8330 Graphics) (Black)
for $376 (Rs.22290)

or
Asus X55U Laptop - APU Dual Core/ 4GB/ 500GB/ 15.6" LED + 1GB ATI Graphics for Rs. $380 (Rs.22500) @ebay.in

or

Asus X551CA Laptop - 3rd Gen Dual Core/ 4GB/ 500GB/ 15.6" LED

Don't know anyone who sells this, they all come with Windows 8 included.

Sorry, i just want to clarify. Max budget is 18k rupees? Why are you posting laptops that are more than 18k?

edit: any video games or 3d real-time rendering?

sorry, It was my mistake ...the max budget is $380 (Rs.22500).
No video games , No 3D rendering. just watching movies, series, sometimes in 720p and connect a projector or 32Inch TV to read and do office work ( ms word, excel, ) and google docs.

I would avoid the first one, because the A4 5000 is a kabini processor, more suited to net books. Hard to pick between the other two because you don't list the specific model of the processor.

That i3 notebook would be great if you can actually get it for $380.

While looking for other options I got below few things / choices...
Let me know your input:

Used Lenovo X201 for $348 (Rs.21000) with 1 year warranty( Warranty is provided by the seller). Core I5( the first dual core I5 s released in year 2010) , 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, 12.1" display.?

or

used Lenovo T410 for $374 (Rs.22500) ( Core I5, 4GB RAM, 750GB HDD, 14.5 Inch display) - 6Cell battery in good condition. This carries a testing warranty of 1 Month by the seller. If any issues found within 1 month , replacement or return is possible.

I think the above Lenovo models are known for its durability , build quality .
Will these serve the purpose ?
or
Should I get something new?

Yes,

Lenovo X201 has Processor: Intel®Core™ i5-520M (2.40 GHz) this has 1 year warranty provided by the seller.
&
Lenovo T410 has Processor: Intel Core i5-540M (2.53GHz, 3MB Cache) --> this carries one month Testing warranty

I want to know if it is worth it to get these laptops compared to the ones which were mentioned previously
Also, we have the Acer 5738G laptop and as GPU is faulty due to four years of usage, have given it for Service I have spend Rs.4600 to change the GPU in it. I will be getting the ACER Aspire 5738G tomorrow with GPU fixed

The processors are a little older, but in terms of performance they are probably faster than most of the other laptops you posted. It should also be faster than the acer 5738G you will be getting back. Also, most newer laptops no longer have as many video card issues as older laptops.

I am personally a fan of lenovo thinkpads, I'm currently typing on a x220 which i purchased from ebay a year and a half ago for 450$. Works very well. My brother is still using a lenovo thinkpad x120e I purchased 3 years ago.

thanks very much for your quick response.
In the given option between those two laptops...which one would you incline to purchase, if it it were you & why?

Do I have to get the one with 1 year warranty by seller?
or
Shall I get the little faster T410 with 1 month testing warranty?

Well, if battery life is a concern I would check the battery life on those laptops and compare them to the new ones you considered. Since they are older i5's, they might not be the most power eifficient. Also if you get used laptops there is always the chance that the batteries aren't in the greatest shape.

Other than telling you I personally like thinkpads, I can't really give you a recommendation because I have no personal experience with either of those models. So, like you, I would have to hunt down reviews and make a decision based on reviews.
