Laptop Fan

I was wondering if anyone knew why my laptop fan suddenly shut off. It's a dell notebook. It's not too old. I'm going to attempt cleaning it, but could there be another reason why it has stopped? It sputters for a moment when I boot the notebook on, but nothing after that.

I am not trying to be rude but we do have a SFF,Notebooks Forum and you will get good responce over there.
If it's still under warrenty it's Dell's problem.
If you open it up and try a repair it's your problem.
Whatcha gonna do?
Lappys run hot and I would not use it without cooling air.

Its may not be running because the temperature isn't hot enough for it to need to run the fan. Its saves power that way. My dell is setup to turn of the fan when it reaches about 40C then run full blast at 50C
