Laptop explosed...

Okay this will be impossible to get help from, but i'm just looking for some general help. The problem is that it was not my laptop that died, it was my friends. I believe he has an alienware laptop, and he said that he downloaded some drivers or something, and then his computer died.

I'm positive that he is overreacting, but apparently now when he turns on the computer nothing shows up on the screen. He hooked up another monitor to his video card and still nothing happened. The fans still spin when he turns the power button on, so does anybody have an idea of what the problem may or may not be!?

Anyone know what would cause nothing to show up on the monitor?

it sounds like it isn't posting...could be almost anything, processor,memory, powersupply, another piece of hardware, etc.

wow it could b anything, it could be ******, better let someone look at it and go inside and see whats malfuctioning, if he calls tech support they should be able to limit a few things that it cant be and what is probably is, dell was able to do that for me in my cituation kinda similar to this.

lol alright, he did call tech support, but they had him like tear it open or something, i'm not really sure why he got an alienware laptop, but all he uses it for is playing World of Warcraft at work lol. Ahhh well thx for the help guys.
