Currently my G4 15in Power book?s hard drive died and it past the 1 year warrantee period. Thus I have to purchase a new hard drive. Currently I am contemplating in getting a 7200 rpm 60 gig Hitachi drive, my pervious hard drive is a 5200 80gig rpm. I am not sure if the speed increase will create more heat thus creating other problems? I want to hear your opinions.
 
the 7200rpm hard drive WILL run hotter and use more power and will produce more noise. personally, i would just go for the 100gb 5400rpm hd.
