Laptop CPU fans

I've been looking for a replacement for the CPU fan on an older laptop. I haven't had any luck finding a place that sells these.

The fan in question is about 40mm. It is a DC brushless blower fan that runs on 5v.

Any help would be appreciated.

You're probably gonna have to break open the enclosure, and just replace the actual fan, I would think.

You guys are confused. It's a blower fan for a laptop. Usually those are custom and tossing a 40mm fan in there won't work. I highly recommend doing a search for the model number of the laptop and brand on Google. You might find an OEM that sells older parts. Ebay is a good place to look too.

What brand/model is the laptop? Usually parts can be found online pretty easily..

It's my boss's wife's Alienware laptop. They basically told him they weren't going to offer support for the model (Alienware Sentia, which is only 2-3 years old). I've contacted the manufacturer of the fan but haven't heard anything from them yet.
