same features and price but different cpu's, whats better for general use:

Intel® Core™ i3-380M Processor
(3M Cache, 2.53 GHz)

or

Intel® Pentium® Processor B960
(2M Cache, 2.20 GHz)

The specs are too close to call and the B series is newer it seems...

I would go with Core I3 as the performance will be quite a bit better due to it having Hyperthreading.

For general use, take the Pentium B960 instead. Longer battery life, lower heat, and sufficient power.

Yeah you definitely want the B960. The platform is newer. The constraint on both these systems is the gpu, and the gpu in the B960 is a lot better. Even if the cpu is a tad slower, it is only marginally so. And the B960 is probably going to have better memory bandwidth. So the system will feel snappier even if its super pi time is 5% lower. I would look more at the battery in each one. Some of those B960 systems have 3 cell batteries.

Great advice.

No sense in getting a CPU that is 20% more efficient (just for example) that has 1/2 the battery capacity. :)

Link is broken

but yeah, for those specs it doesn't look too bad.
