Laptop cooling help

So I just fried my gaming laptop due to overheating so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a 17" laptop cooling system. I don't want to do any crazy water-cooled custom stuff and out of the box stuff is fine. I was looking at the ZALMAN ZM-NC2000 as I found a lot of good things about it. Any info will help! Thanks!
 
Well, you can try propping the bottom up so air can circulate better before spending any money. I heard the NZXT cooler is also pretty good.
