Hi,
has someone here ever custom built, from parts, a notebook computer before? or do you know where I can get the components for the same? Any kind of help would be useful.

You wouldn't be able to build a laptop from the ground up, and even making changes/upgrading existing machines is not that easy either. Laptops are generally very proprietary and completely integrated. While some vendors such as Dell and Toshiba offer a degree of flexibility with configurations, you will not be able to construct a laptop from the ground up.

There are many considerations involved such as cooling, voltage, power....all of these are far more important in a laptop than in a desktop
