Just picked one up this afternoon. Actually a pretty neat case. Here's what it says on its package:

Padded, ergonomically-designed shoulder strap and reinforced carry handle for exceptional comfort, strength and durability;

Full-featured front organizer pocket for pens, business cards, PDA and accessories;

I am pretty satified with it. If the rebate did come through this would be one good deal. But looks like people don't have nice things to say about CompUSA rebates...

bout as hot as it can get
have a hunch this rebate won't be a problem -- the pny/compusa 128mb stick free ar was a piece of cake
anybody worried though, should xerox and send it at least certified
i'm wondering if i can put my lunch in it, too cheap to buy a laptop

I think I got the last one at the Santa Clara store (Lawrence and El Camino) yesterday morning, and it was pretty much hidden behind all the other more expensive cases, but I don't know if they might be getting a new shipment in or something...

Me 2, I am waiting for the confirmation, it says that it will be shipped like 10/18. 3 weeks away.
However, I will wait till thanksgiving to buy a laptop case. hope there will be some hot deals

Nice case. I picked it up even though I already have one (a slim Targus one). This has more perhiperhal carrying capacity and better pockets. Plus it looks like my portable radio equipment will fit perfectly. Hmm, maybe I should pick up another.

Actually while we were at CompUSA I thought about your post and think I found a laptop case you should check out. It's very basic and slim, it's basically a huge neoprene cover which will protect the laptop and LCD but it's not very padded so be warned. $29.99
