I'm relatively new to wireless networking. I have one setup at home and it works well with my desktop Pc's. I am going to buy laptop and I want to make sure that it will work with my wireless network before I make the purchase. The laptop I'm going to buy is a Dell Inspiron 2600 and it's listed as having 1 Type II Pc Card slot. I am planning to buy a Dlink DWL-650H IEEE 802.11b compliant PC card at newegg for $73. I wanted to make sure that this card would work with the laptop and my wireless network. I'm thinking I should have no problems but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking something. I'm currently using a D-Link wireless access point and a D-Link USB wireless adapter for my desktops.

Thanks! :)

If all the components are 802.11b aka "WiFi Compliant" then they will all work together.

There is a Linksys cards carried by the Megastores that goes for $40-$50.

If you are going to spend more your best choice would be the Orinonco Gold.
