Okay...as it turns out I will need to get a Laptop towards the beginning of Novemeber...I really don't have any experience, so I'm asking for help. Don't mis-read though, I need a damn cheap one...like 1500 max...but what do you think I could get for that...and where do you think I should go? I saw that Mercata sells Toshiba ones, and I have sill have that 100 off thingy...so, that would work, if tosh doesn't suck ass...okay, help?

toshiba, ibm, and dell are popular brands. compaq makes good ones if you don't get anything branded "presario," which is really just words to live by when dealing with compaq.

IBM 240's are pretty inexpensive, 400mHz Celeron, 128mb RAM, 11-gig HD, floppy, ext. CDROM, modem, NIC, software come to us for about $1,500 apiece.
