Laptop adapter cords interchangeable?

I'm referring to the cord that runs from the wall to the adapter, they appear to be universal, but I'm just looking for a definite answer.

They are not all universal. The size of the cord that plugs into the laptop itself is very often a different size. If youd like a way around this you can get something like this. It still might not work for everything but it's about the closest you can get to having one AC adapter for mulitple laptops.

He's talking about the cord that connects to the AC adapter, not the AC adapter itself.

Yes, they are interchangable. It's a generic cord that even my cable modem has, and which I swapped because I like its length better.

If you can plug it into the adapter you can use it. They are all interchangable.
