Just what the title says. Random. Plugged in or on battery. No pattern. Toshiba Satellite. HELP!

Check for BIOS and APM driver updates. Had a similar problem on a Compaq, turned out to be BIOS APM issue. Would spontaneously tell Windows or -any- OS that it had no power whatsoever for who knows WHAT reason, and -poof- off it went.

is the fan on the heatsink still working? overheating I believe will cause it to shut down.
