Lappy random shutdowns...

Check for BIOS and APM driver updates. Had a similar problem on a Compaq, turned out to be BIOS APM issue. Would spontaneously tell Windows or -any- OS that it had no power whatsoever for who knows WHAT reason, and -poof- off it went.
