Lap my Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro?

Just building a new system here (specs are in sig) and when I opened the box of my new cooler, it had this preapplied thermal paste on the bottom of it. I know the paste AC uses (MX-1 i think) is rated high, but shouldn't I be using AS5? And as far as lapping is concerned..how do I know if my HS needs to be lapped or not?

Is there some kind of special way of telling?

The MX-1 paste is rated very high, in some places I've checked it's even higher than the AS5. I would stick with it.

MX-1 is at least equal to AC5, so no worries there.

As for lapping... if you intend to go for a high overclock (3.2+) and want a relatively high voltage with as low temps as possible, then I would recommend you lap your HS. Otherwise, you don't really need to.
