There was speculation from ESPN that ownership could change within the next 4-5 years and that the new owner would move the team to another city to reinvent the image because apparently lunatic raving stabbing fans in Oakland don't work lol. But honestly I think the Raider Nation will follow its team to whatever city. What city do you think they would move to tho?

I bet they'll end back up in LA. :p

That would be ideal I'm a 49ers fan living in LA with nothing to do. Now I can go and get stabbed at the next Niners/Raiders game

Oakland > LA

And that's a very scary thought.

Just curious, how did he fire him without pay when he had a 3 year contract (I think it was 3 years). I thought this whole soap opera was because Davis wanted Kiffin to resign so he wouldn't have to pay him.

There was speculation that Davis was going to use an insubordination clause in the contract to not pay him. He did the same thing to Mike Shanahan 20 years ago(according to the ESPN article in the OP).

The Raiders are 1-3, having blown leads in the fourth quarter to the Bills and the San Diego Chargers. During Kiffin's 20-game tenure, in which the team was 5-15, the Raiders took leads into the fourth quarter of 11 games.

ouch

rob ryan sabotaged them this past sunday with terrible defensive play calling in the second half because he knew the writing was on the wall and has wanted the head coaching job for awhile now. and it didnt even work out since cable got promoted to head coach.

Yeah, conduct detrimental to the team. Kiffin will be able to sue and at worse get a big settlement but will hopefully get all that's due to him.
