Landscaper mowed my lawn. Should I have tipped him?

JEDI

Lifer
Landscaping company is doing their usual lawn mowing of my community.

I decided to mow my 20x20 lawn as well. It usually takes me about a min.

one of the landscapers see that i'm about to mow my lawn and motions if i wanted him to do it. I nod yes.

He mows my lawn in seconds with his industrial lawn mower. then heads off to the next community plot.

if he would have paused b4 moving on, i dont know if i would have tipped him since i already had my lawn mower out and was ready to do it myself.

What would you have done ATOT?
Would you have tipped him?

Hmm. So he wasn't supposed to mow your lawn? In that situation, I probably would have tipped him if I had the opportunity.

Messakins deserve your money. They do the shit nobody wants to do. Mine's included in my rent, but you can tip if you feel the need. Kinda funny since I'm hispanic. Fuck all the other racists.

So have Americans basically replaced common courtesy and politeness with money now? Is "thanks" not enough - you gotta put your hand out these days? That's obviously how it's been in your restaurants for some time, but now there's constant discussion over whether to tip your hair dresser, lawn mower, pizza guy, etc. Bizarre.

So the worldly Mini Gayner uses ATOT as his window on the world.
