Then write a letter explaining the law and the position it puts you in if he keeps coming into your apartment unannounced.

Yeah, thats the issue. I don't want to start a shit-fire and I actually really like the people. I think I'm going to send a nicely worded letter with my concerns by certified mail.

Just get a thick wood or metal rod. No need for a fancy lock.

And yeah, send your landlord a certified letter with a tidbit about the law regarding entering a tenant's place. If he keeps it up after the letter, take the guy to court.
