Landed a new tugboat job

After working at company A for a month, company B called and made a better offer.

The new job is closer to home, better benefits, better pay and more time off.

When I get my able bodied seaman credential I get a $10,000 a year raise. Then I can move into a Mate training program where I learn how to drive a tugboat.

So far things are going well. The new job offers some great upward mobility that my IT job did not offer.

Ships, we tug on and dock ships.

My first job was a push tug where we pushed barges.

The new job we guide ships into port.

The new job I work a week and then get a week off. So far things are going well.

I put an application in with company B back in July. They called from that application.
