i wonder how much this is going to cost alexa lien in court and settlement costs...

$500k?

Over $1m?

Will his insurance pay or will they fuck him. Was all it all worth potentially losing all that money and getting his ass kicked? Me thinks not.

lolololol

Many on this forum have the same herd mentality of the bikers. They think BABY + WIFE = WHATEVER IT TAKES

Ridiculous. Whatever charges stick against those arrested, nothing will change the fact that Lien hit the biker first. Any good lawyer will eat the defendant alive in a civil trial because of that and what happened afterwards.

BWAHAHAHA!! Not sure if blind, stoned, stupid or all three.

The video shows the first bike intentionally brake-checking the SUV to get hit. Even the slimiest fuckwad ambulance chaser isn't going to want to touch a civil case against Lien. They'll never see a dime unless they can get a jury of 12 guys from that gang.

i guess the banhammer wasn't THAT long.

No, it wasn't. Zero guilt. I see others agree with me and they've been lambasted, which is ridiculous because, like any good lawyer or mathematician, our scope is narrow but critical. Common sense, really. Lien drove like an asshole (like all NYers including Yours Truly) and this incident was 100% initiated by him. The people he faced weren't exactly choir boys but, IMHO, he will be fucked in a civil case. He should've should more intelligence.

At what point did he "drive like an asshole?"

You must be either retarded or slow if you didn't know that California's slimiest lawyer is in our fair city representing the biker who was crushed by Lien. Lien should have never been following so closely. Never. You never get that close to motorcycles on city streets let alone on the highway.

By basically tailgating the motorcyclist. He was simply too close. Therefore he had no room for error. That is how a lot of NYers drive in the City, including me. Usually we get away with it but sometimes you hit someone and there is nothing you can do.

How is it "tailgating?" The motorcyclist CUT IN FRONT OF HIM AND IMMEDIATELY HIT THE BRAKE.

There was no way for the SUV to give him space. The biker cut DIRECTLY in front! Are you fucking blind?

On top of that, the SUV driver's attention was split between 6+ motorcycles that were just inches away. It was fucking STUPID for the biker to assume that the SUV driver would focus all attention on him.

You're just as mistaken as SpatiallyAware! The biker that got bumped is NOT THE BIKER THAT WAS RUN OVER. Only the tire was bumped. SUV driver stopped. His vehicle was being destroyed. Tire slashed. He had to get away. He deliberately drove over one of the bikers that was stopped in front of him (trying to trap the SUV deliberately).

GOT IT?

Once again: THE BIKER THAT CUT IN FRONT WAS NOT THE BIKER THAT WAS RUN OVER. That biker was trying to stop traffic illegally so they could perform tricks in the highway. This is something their group does routinely.

You must be retarded as well. Watch the video. He did not cut in front of him and proceeded to slow down. He flanked him on his left (driver's side) and was trying to communicate with him. This is blatantly obvious in the video. He then goes in front of him. Not sure about cars and bikes but I know that two motorcycles can be in the same lane. Anyway, it looks like he was trying to negotiate with the RR. The minute he got in front of the RR the RR should've slowed down. Notice how there was ample room behind the RR for him to do this.

I never said they were the same, Einstein. And what difference does it make to me or any competent lawyer? He hit the bike and proceeded to crush another bike. All I'm saying is that Lien had many opportunities to avert a disaster. He panicked because he didn't know how to handle this.

He didn't even use a turn signal before abruptly changing lanes. How's that for "communication?"

There's no way any sensible person would say the biker didn't cut-off the SUV. Wow.

You can't drive like that. There's no way the SUV driver could concentrate on every bike all around him. There's no way he should have expected that the biker in front would try to come to a complete stop when there was no traffic obstruction ahead. You are dense.

Do you know what he did after bumping the tire? He stopped.

Do you know what happened after that? His vehicle was attacked. Tire slashed.

The attack was escalating and there was nothing he could do. Do you suggest he should have allowed them to enter his vehicle and beat him / his family (or use the knife that was already used to slash his tire)?

Driving over one of the bikers that deliberately kept him trapped is the only reasonable choice.

HE WAS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE...

And he was looking directly at him. Do you drive? If someone is doing that to you they want you to be aware of them. That's all. They want you to know they are in your presence so that you can act accordingly. The other bikes were in their own lanes and Lien had NO driver behind him for at least 50 feet. Maybe more. So when the guy finally got in front of him he could've slowed down. This is what any smart driver would do. Why? To maintain a safe distance. Yes, the bikers may have been assholes but when you get into a car you drive for everyone on the road. You drive for yourself, other motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. That is how any competent driver would drive.

Of course he stopped. Everyone stopped. He obviously had no intention of running over the guy. Everyone stops after an accident.

As for someone slashing his tires, I never saw that. If it was in the back it is impossible to tell. Also, I don't believe for a second that Lien stopped in Washington Heights because of a flat tire. He stopped because the street he stopped on is a major street for GETTING BACK ON the Major Deegan and other highways on the east side of upper Manhattan. That gave the bikers and opportunity to attack.

Any sensible driver would be constantly checking mirrors when they're surrounded like that and the biker could not assume the SUV driver ever saw him before he was cut off. That's one part where the SUV driver should not have to check (to his left). Any attention spent looking there would have been diverted from the half-dozen other things he needed to keep eyes on. YOU DON'T CUT IN FRONT OF SOMEONE AND STOP. If you do that and get your rear lightly bumped, it's YOUR FAULT. The SUV driver does not deserve to get beaten or have his vehicle destroyed because he bumped the rear of a guy who cut him off and stopped in front of him. What would have happened to him if he didn't try to get away after they started slashing tires and trying to enter his vehicle?

Wow, do we still have "blame the victim" game?

Newsflash: Lien is still not being charged of anything because he did NOTHING wrong.

At least 3 bikers were being charged of various felonies charges and NYPD is still looking for more (at least 7 were being accused of attacked Lien). If they did not do anything wrong, why are they still hiding like cowardice cockroaches that they truly are? Look above and see my post with link about who was at fault and who was innocent from police statements.

I wouldn't put any money on that prediction. We got a 2 year old in the back seat with thugs breaking windows in the RR and kicking the doors, including the back passenger door with plexi glass flying everywhere. We are luck that child did not ge her face and throat cut with the plexi. Nothing will change the fact that the bikers endangered a child. Cruz and his pals including the disgraced cop are toast. No jury will let them off.

If you look at a map of NYC you can see that I-95 crosses upper manhattan. When lien got off he headed directly east and stayed on east. That would've put him on the plethora of highways in that area. That street runs parallel to the I-95 that goes from the Bronx to New Jersey. Also, that area is extremely crowded so anyway he went he would've been stuck.

HE STOPPED BEFORE ANYONE WAS RUN OVER.

HIS FRONT PASSENGER-SIDE TIRE WAS SLASHED BEFORE ANYONE WAS RUN OVER.

YOURE TALKING ABOUT THE SECOND ATTACK ON THE SUV!

GaaaaH!

Well, you can assume all you want but the video shows the truth. If the biker wanted to he could've zoomed past the RR and cut him off hard and done a brake-check. He did not. He attempted to get his attention then he went in front. That right there shows that the biker was not as reckless as you try to make him out to be. We'll see how a jury decides...

Fuck all that. Those men are being hunted because of what they did AFTER the events of which I'm talking about.

Lien's lawyers will most likely whore out his daughter as you've suggested. But that changes nothing and it's an emotional argument.

What are you trying to say? He escaped the first attack by driving over one of the guys that was stopped in front of him (deliberately trapping him). While he was being pursued, there was another minor encounter that he was able to drive away from. He drove and got stuck in traffic, and was attacked again. This time, they managed to extract him from the vehicle and they beat him...brutally.

I'm primarily talking about the initial incident. The incident when Lien bumps the biker. When he stopped I did not notice anyone slashing his tires. Did you?

YES. It happened. The bikers even say it happened. Through the entire pursuit, the SUV's front passenger-side tire was slashed. Pieces flew off. There was nothing left but rim when he was dragged from his SUV and beaten. FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
